The Trust has over 2000 hours of film in various formats of many Hovercraft. From 1955 experiments to date. Notable footage includes Cockerells historic Channel crossing.

Also in the collection are
  • Hundreds of tins of 16mm and 8mm
  • Over 400 VHS Videos
  • BetaCam
  • Digital
  • Umatic

Everything from Expeditions down the Amazon (the last known original copy) to Navy experiments of exploding mines under Hovercraft.

Much footage has been cleaned and digitized but a tremendous amount remains donated and unsorted.

We charge a modest search fee to find - and thereafter a charge to copy - to loan and to broadcast. The film archive has been one of the main incomes of the trust and enables the educational aim of the trust to reach a greater audience.

There is an inventory of archive material.
