This is Sealand SH2 - number 016. It was used in Holland and Britain. Dating from 1971 this six seater was built in Millom in Cumbria. Sealand Hovercraft were one of only two companies licensed to build light Hovercraft with the aid of Government grants.

The craft was mass produced in fibreglass from moulds. It was a smart craft - however the company soon went bankrupt as craft performance and sales did not live up to expectation.

A Chrysler engine powers two pairs of thrust props on common shafts - and a gearbox drives the centrifugal lift fan.
